He cares nothing for Raven, Arella or Slade, and uses all three of them in order to achieve world domination and destroy the entire Earth.

But in the end, his pure arrogance and overconfidence lead to him underestimating his enemies and proved to be his ultimate weakness which lead to his own downfall.

His evil nature and lack of concern for anyone else caused him to be hated by his daughter, Raven. She channeled her hatred in to sending him back to his domain at the end of "The End - Part 3". It is unclear whether or not he still exerts any sort of influence on her.

Trigon revived Slade following the latter's demise in " Aftershock - Part 2 " and granted him superpowers. Trigon promised that Slade would have his flesh back on the condition that Slade would serve Trigon and help apprehend Raven. Later into the story arc, Slade accuses Trigon of not promising his side of the deal, and began attacking him, before being stripped of his powers. Slade would later turn on against Trigon, siding with the Titans temporarily.

In the animated continuity, Trigon wielded vast magical and energy manipulation abilities to an uncertain though incredibly high extent. Trigon was also highly cunning and gifted with words, to the point of forcing Raven to give in to him after endlessly mentally tormenting her by preventing her from meditating and insisting that she is corrupt within and cannot hide her corruption forever. His physical manifestation was a form of enormous strength and durability, making him extremely difficult to harm or weaken without great skill and willpower.

Trigon had enough power to destroy entire dimensions, as he did with the realm of Azarath and nearly so with "Earth-T", the reality of the Teen Titans. Trigon can also produce and control flaming demon creatures, capable of high-speed flight and the ability to generate and control fire at will to serve as his personal army.

Trigon also possesses extremely powerful magical sensory abilities through his four eyes that enable him to be aware of nearly everything that occurs; a power which is near that of virtual omniscience. Trigon was able to reshape the surface of the planet and turn all its inhabitants—human, animal, plant and superhuman—into stone statues.

He was able to unleash bursts of energy, raise energy shields potent enough to withstand a direct blast of his own dark energy with no damage, seal the four Titans in a sphere of red energy which paralyzed them and negated the use of their powers, and could create a "dark side" model of any creature to serve him as his minion. He could also create portals to any place in the universe in one simple gesture.

He could bring the dead back to life as a servant under his control by placing a symbol called the Mark of Skath on the corpse's which, not only brought the person back to life, but gave them powers. Trigon was also capable of removing such powers at will from any one of his minions.

Despite being claimed to be the incarnation of pure evil and the source of all darkness, Trigon's ultimate weaknesses are his ego personality, obsession with power, sheer arrogance, and pure overconfidence; he had every opportunity of wiping out the Teen Titans when he had the chance, but instead he chose not to by merely stating that their rescue plan of Raven and their existence presented "no threat" to him.

It is clear that Trigon failed to realize that he inadvertently underestimated the Teen Titans as well as his own daughter, which lead to his own downfall. Click here to view the gallery. On Azarath, Raven was taken under the wing of a mystic named Azar who taught her to control her emotions in order to curb the energy in her bloodline. His looming threat would eventually force Raven to leave Azarath in search of ways to stop him once and for all, a process that would inspire her to become a Super Hero.

Under the teachings of Azar, Raven learned to become a powerful empath and mystic. By controlling her own emotions, she is able to reach out and read the emotions of others, obtaining a near-telepathic insight into their minds. Being around too many people with too many heightened emotions can be a risk, depending on the circumstances.

She is also able to teleport herself and anyone in contact with her Soul-Self anywhere in space—occasionally including alternate realities or distant timelines. Her skin becomes bright red and sets of glowing, orange eyes open on her forehead.

In this form, Raven displays an even higher aptitude for chaos magic, as well as an increased physical strength and endurance—all at the cost of her control. In this form, Raven can be a pure destructive force. When she learned through a vision that Trigon planned to invade and destroy Azarath, she traveled to Earth in search of heroes to help stop her father.

When Cyborg's T-Car was stolen, she dismissed his dismay over the stolen vehicle by stating "It's just a car," which in turn made Cyborg exceptionally angry. While this happens off-screen, Raven does see the fault in her response and goes to comfort him when he gave up all hope of getting it back. She helps him get his car back from Gizmo, and though he was forced to destroy it, she goes as far as to help him rebuild the car, further proving their close friendship.

Cyborg often sees Raven, like Starfire, as a younger sister to him, and as such isn't very positive about any harm coming her way. During their first battle with Control Freak , a giant trash can appears to scare Raven, but Cyborg tackles it away, telling her not to worry as he's got it. This is not to say he's overprotective of her, or treats her as a "damsel in distress" as he knows Raven is more than capable of taking care of herself. The two appear to enjoy playing chess together, and as seen in " Overdrive ," Raven usually seems to beat him.

Though after installing the Max-7 in his brain, she loses to him and is rather shocked. Cyborg makes Raven smile more than anyone else in the series. Her biggest smiles, at least, two episodes centering around Cyborg's troubles. They appear to get along well and have a good friendship.

Starfire and Raven initially had no relationship besides being teammates. They are polar opposites in terms of personality, almost like Raven's relationship with Beast Boy, but she respects Starfire's cheerful personality. Being the only girls on the team gave them a special bond from the beginning. Starfire wanted to be friends with Raven, but Raven dismissed all of Starfire's requests to hang out or do stereotypical "teenage girl stuff" in a rather rude manner.

Their relationship is dealt with when the two girls have to switch bodies, and then, in order to get their bodies back, have to learn everything about each other's powers and origins. This ordeal helps them become closer and have a better understanding of one another. Starfire called Raven out on her rudeness during that episode. It was the only real time Starfire ever got angry with Raven, though for only a moment.

Following the events of " Switched ," Raven begins to open up more to Starfire, and they are often seen with each other. It should also be noted she seemed to open up to Starfire much quicker than she did for her other teammates. Though they are very different in personality, both girls share many of the same traits. They are the only two on the team who have the natural ability to levitate Beast Boy doesn't count as he needs to turn into an animal with wings to gain flight.

It can also be said that the girls possess the greatest raw power compared to the boys, as Starfire is an alien with strength that exceeds even Cyborg, and her starbolts are extremely deadly, while Raven is a half-demon whose powers are difficult to control but at the same time being very powerful and, as seen in " The End - Part 3 ," is more than capable of destroying powerful villains like Trigon. Another similarity between the two is that both their powers are fueled by emotion, but the difference lies in that Raven's emotions have to be controlled while Starfire is able to express herself freely.

They have both also developed a crush on Aqualad. As teammates, Starfire and Raven form a powerful duo as they often combine their powers against their foes, particularly in the final battle in " Titans Together. Starfire and Raven are shown to care deeply about each other.

In " Nevermore ," after Raven wished to be alone, Starfire was worried something might have been troubling her and wanted to go see if she was alright, though she was constantly stopped by Robin who reinforced Raven's request to be alone.

Raven can't bear the thought of any harm coming to Starfire, as shown in " Fear Itself ," where she was devastated when Starfire disappeared and wanted to go back and save her. Unlike her relationship with Beast Boy, Raven openly enjoys Starfire's company and whatever time she gets to spend with her outside of combat. Although they have occasional personality clashes, the two have a tight bond, one always looking out for the other. When Terra first showed up, Raven dismissed her as nothing more than a temporary nuisance; since she didn't like any sort of change or the idea of having to develop a relationship with yet another female, she barely reacted to Terra leaving as suddenly as she did.

Raven really hated the idea of adding someone else to their team, especially when Terra gained control of her powers as easily as she seemed to. She wondered why she had just appeared out of nowhere, and where had she learned how to control her powers so easily. When Terra bumped into Raven while on her way out the door, she sensed Slade , hinting at what was to come.

In this episode, Raven confronts Terra about her feelings, and vice-versa, and in the end, they work together to save Titans Tower from destruction. When Terra returns once again , and when she and Raven fight one-on-one, Raven confesses angrily that she honestly did trust Terra, and that Terra's betrayal hurt her and the rest of the team deeply.

She loses her cool and scares Terra, being defeated because of her anger. Raven and Arella only share a single scene together in the animated series. In " The Prophecy ," when she was faced with the ever looming threat of her prophecy coming true, Raven specifically sought out her mother for comfort and guidance.

The reveal that Arella was presumably dead and that Azarath had been destroyed severely, which devastated Raven, and what likely snuffed out any hope that the prophecy of her birth could be prevented. He views Raven as nothing more than portal with which he will use to invade and conquer Earth, then disposed of when he is done with her.

By all accounts, Trigon views Raven more or less as his slave, rather than his daughter to love and care for, which is something he practically confirms in " The End - Part 3. Because of his evil nature and his cruel treatment of her, Raven hates her father and does everything she can to oppose him and resist his constant influence on her. In " Nevermore ," her Red Anger Emoticlone takes the form of Trigon, representing all the repressed anger she feels towards him. During much of Season 4, Raven tries her best to defy her father and prevent him from using her as the portal, but is ultimately unsuccessful.

During his mental onslaught on her in " The End - Part 1 ," Raven was reduced to begging her father not to force her to be the portal, and to not hurt her friends. When she was brought back by her friends in " The End - Part 3 ," Raven forcibly disowns Trigon, stating that he was never anything of a father to her. After proclaiming the monks of Azarath and her friends to be her true family, she obliterates him for everything he has done to her, restoring the Earth to the way it was and seemingly removing any influence he had on her.

In the first two seasons, while Raven and Slade were enemies, it was largely impersonal. Raven simply regarded Slade as a dangerous criminal to be stopped, and Slade viewed Raven as another obstacle to his goals, or as a means to get to Robin. This quickly changed in Season 4, when Slade was revived by her father, Trigon, and sent to inform Raven of the her destiny to destroy the world. With his new powers and knowledge of her true nature, Slade soon became one of the only two villains in the series the other being her father Trigon to legitimately terrify Raven, with her spending much of " Birthmark " trying to run from Slade instead of actually fighting him.

This is largely because he was able to physically and psychologically torment Raven in ways no other villain up until that point had. His assault on Raven was downright predatory in nature, with him invading her personal space, violently grabbing her causing her visible pain each time as well as tearing off her cloak and large potions of her leotard. Although he was operating under the orders of Trigon the entire time, Slade appeared to take great pleasure in the act.

Light , with her vicious beat down of him almost certainly being enough to kill him several times over had he not had immortality at the time. When Raven remarked about how Trigon would betray him and how insignificant he was, Slade became irrationally angry, poised to attack her.

At the end of " The End - Part 3 ," Raven simply states that Slade managed to escape, to which Robin assures her that they will be ready for him the next time he appears. As the two never interacted during Season 5 it is unknown if Raven still holds any kind of grudge with Slade over hurting her friends and essentially being the catalyst that allowed the prophecy of her birth to come true. Furthermore, it is unknown whether or not Slade would choose to continue to target Raven, either seeking revenge against her or possibly seeking a new apprentice due to her new powers.

Either way, the two would almost certainly remain bitter enemies. Raven and Killowat's relationship isn't exactly touched upon in the animated series due to Killowat's minimized screen time.

However, in the Teen Titans Go! Eventually, Raven tried sending him home, but failed and sent him to the evil universe of the Teen Tyrants. When he was captured, Raven was at Titans Tower, resting. However, she suddenly woke up because she could sense that Killowat was in danger.

She urgently opened the portal to that universe in an attempt to rescue him once more. Cyborg stated that Killowat's electromagnetic abilities greatly strengthen Raven's own, and the two could sort of communicate with each other telepathically. Killowat was surprised but relieved when he saw Raven, and when he was dragged back to the Teen Titans' universe and Raven opened multiple portals to try and send Killowat to the right universe, Killowat had a hard time saying goodbye.
